Perception versus reality

The first piece in a new series of work. Here the artist is experimenting with covering finished paintings and thoughtfully revealing what is underneath by lifting the top layer with moisture. What is left behind is a beautiful composition conceptualizing the idea that we can choose to show the world only parts of who we are to create our own version of what we think is worth showing. How we want to be perceived is such a complicated production.
