Free Open Call Art Submissions 2024: An Exhibition for Emerging Visual Artists

This event is a not for profit art exhibit to showcase emerging Canadian talent in the visual arts.

As an artist who has worked very hard to make partnerships with galleries, Sasha knows first hand how few opportunities are out there for talented emerging artists to have their work seen.
She is committed to offering a supportive platform to shake the art community up and allow artists to expand their audience and be honoured for the dedication to their art practice.

The exhibition will take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, that will open with reception on May 16th and continue through May 19th, 2024.
Exhibition Experience for Selected Artists
Artists selected to show their work will have the opportunity to:

Have a one-on-one virtual mentorship session with Sasha prior to the exhibition related to approaching galleries, writing artist statements, and/or pricing artwork effectively

Increase exposure and reach by exhibiting your artwork in-person

Network and build relationships with other artists & art enthusiasts

Connect with potential buyers during our opening reception and exhibition weekend

Showcase your artwork in a supportive environment

Have their artwork be included in promotional materials that will be advertised across Canada
Emerging Artist Applications
Submit your work to be part of an in-person exhibition dedicated to emerging and mid-career Canadian visual artists taking place in Halifax, May 2024.

This open call is extended to visual artists across Canada, aged 18 and above.
It is free to apply, but if selected, there may be a small fee to participate in the exhibition. The event is not for profit and fees will be kept to a minimum simply to cover the costs of the event.

The deadline for submissions is March 20th, 2024, at 11:59pm AST.

01 What will it cost to show my work?
There may be a small fee to show your work, however the exhibition is not for profit and the fees will be kept to a minimum simply to cover the costs of the event. Sasha is working hard to look for event sponsorships to lower the cost. The fee will be based on the number of pieces you are showing in the exhibition.
02 Will the artist fee include marketing costs?
Yes. All marketing and promotional costs will be included in the artist fee. Sasha will be promoting the event locally and across Canada through digital channels and potential sponsorships & publications.
